Registering for the conference
General Information
Participants in the 3rd Swiss Congress of Historical Sciences are required to register by means of the on-line registration form. (See below.) Please note that although the tours and receptions (on Friday and Saturday) are free of charge, prior registration for them is nonetheless also required.
The conference fees do not cover lodging or meals, although various dining options can be booked through that same on-line registration form.
If you would like to reserve hotel accommodations through the conference, you will need to do so by using the hotel reservations form provided by “Fribourg Tourisme.” Additional information and a link to the hotel reservations form can found under “Info/Accommodations“. “Fribourg Tourisme” is also available to answer questions by phone at 41(0)26-350-1111, Monday through Friday 9:00-18:00, Saturday 9:00-12:30 (closed Sunday). Participants who have applied to have the conference provide for their overnight accommodation expenses will be informed by the conference organizers as to the result of their applications. For successful applicants, the conference organizers will also take care of making hotel reservations.
Registration for the conference is available on-line until January 23, 2013. After registering on-line, you will receive an e-mail with payment instructions.

Single day registration: On-site registration is available for Thursday, Feburary 7, Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9. The cost for attending one day of the conference is: for non-SGG members, CHF 70.-, for SGG members, CHF 50.- The single-day fee for students is CHF 25.- Students who are also SGG members pay 20.-.
New membership in SGG
Are you not yet a member of the "Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Geschichte"? Registered participants in the conference have the opportunity to join SGG at half-price for the year 2013. Members receive the journal Schweizerische Zeitschrift für Geschichte, the Newsletter and the Bulletin of the SGG, and can benefit from bonus offers through the SGG. Cancellations: Participation in the conference can be cancelled without charge if done no later than January 15, 2013. Thereafter, a 50% cancellation fee applies to the full amount charged.
